Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we do not.

Project Banana Cake is a community blog run by a group of contributors. This policy explains what information is handled when you visit the site.

Last updated June 19, 2026

Introduction

We built this site to share what we learn and build together. We keep data collection to a minimum and do not run advertising or sell visitor information.

Information we collect

When you visit the site, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. This helps us operate and secure the site.

We do not offer visitor accounts, comment forms, or newsletter signups on this site. Author names shown on posts come from published content managed by our contributors, not from information you submit when browsing.

Third-party services

Blog posts, author attribution, and images are served through Ghost CMS. Fonts are loaded via Google Fonts through Next.js. These services may process technical data needed to deliver content to your browser.

Cookies

We do not intentionally use tracking or advertising cookies. Essential cookies may be set by our hosting provider or content delivery network to keep the site working. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate, maintain, and secure the site, and to understand general traffic patterns. We do not sell visitor data.

Your choices

You can adjust cookie and privacy settings in your browser at any time. Because we do not create visitor profiles, there is no account data for you to request deletion of.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
